Barbara Bingham, holding the real-life Ginger above, was inspired to write this story for her daughters after going through divorce when they were nine and twelve.  During the first year after divorce, her younger daughter earned money by dog-walking to help bring Ginger into the family.  Barbara is a Master Certified Life Coach, entrepreneur, and writer.  She lives in Lake Wales, Florida.

Cathy Taliaferro, pictured above with Barbara and Ginger, is divorced from Barbara's brother, but remains close to the entire family. She is a mother of four, and grandmother of six.  She is an artist devoted to bringing smiles to children through creating Furniture as Art,  painting wall murals, and illustrating stories.  She lives in Sarasota, Florida.
