In her book It's Okay Ginger, Barbara Bingham has skillfully and sensitively addressed the issue of children and divorce.  Masterfully Ms. Bingham allows the reader to understand how a child is able to express difficult feelings by transferring those unsettling transitions to her dog Ginger.  It is Ginger who integrates into her new family with the encouragement and guidance of her owner.  It is through Ginger's journey that the reader comes to understand that with time and with patience, the changes that divorces create are different, but it will be "okay"...                                                                                      Colette Braunstein, LCSW
